A special sunset maternity photography session in Seagrove, FL

Gulf Coast maternity photography

Okay guys… this one really pulls at my heart. Whitney and I met a few years ago when she was visiting the area & looking for headshots for her own business. (Fellow photographers, you know we love networking and getting creative together!) I am so thankful she found me back then. We’ve kept in touch and I was BEYOND excited to find out that she was expecting her first baby! Her love for the beach runs deep- and I was jumping at the chance to document this special time for her. Also, if you know me- you know that Gulf Coast maternity photography is my JAM.

To get away from the crowded beaches, we planned her Gulf Coast maternity photography session at Grayton Beach State Park. It’s one of the best beach access locations in the area if you’re looking for a slower or more quiet experience. For a small entrance fee you get access to gorgeous hiking & biking trails, calm lakes for kayaking, and some of the most pristine beachfront in the area.

This location was an absolute dream for Whit’s Gulf Coast maternity photography session. While the session actually started later than planned (at no fault of Whitney’s- it was an intense weekend to say the least lol), I think that it was completely meant to be. We had the best time and shot well into blue hour- capturing every moment as the sun set over the Gulf and the sky continued to morph into the prettiest backdrop imaginable. Not every photo shoot goes to plan, you may feel like it isn’t perfect, but let me assure you that these memories, these moments are what matter. No matter what happens your session will be perfectly you. Had we started right on time, it’s likely we wouldn’t have stayed out there to see how amazing blue hour turned out to be!

I owe a huge thank you to Whitney for being so easy to work with, for trusting me time and again with creating images that are so true to my style but also to hers, and for being such a special friend. Keep an eye out for my next session with Whit (and hopefully baby Kai too)!
